Dog breeding...

This one is a hot topic for me - dog breeding and what weird and wonderful things they try to do to us as "mans best friend".  I myself am a mini Schnauzer and they bred me to be allergy sufferer friendly.  I am even suitable for people who suffer from dog allergies apparently.  Whilst most dogs molt and shed their hairs, my hairs rarely come off at all around the house.  Most dogs you see will get a thicker winter coat in preparation for the long cold winter and then shed this coat in summer when it gets too hot.  I cant do this and so I get super cold in winter when it is cold and snows, and believe me in Switzerland it does get very cold brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  So therefore please don't laugh at me when you see me wearing clothes.  Although feel free to laugh if I am wearing my fluorescent green shellsuit.

All in all though I am a fairly healthy breed.  But look what they have done to some of my other four legged friends

Hey man, I can't even breathe properly
Hey man, my skin doesn't fit me
So please two legged creatures, don't try to interfere in nature too much as it isn't you who has to suffer the consequences.  Would you like it if I started trying to create human breeds that look like they didn't just fall from the ugly tree, but hit every damn branch on the way down.

Happy new year everyone - woof woof over and out

Christmas message for all my four legged followers

To everyone out there wherever you may be.  This is a very special time of year for many of us.  It is a time for us all to come together with our two legged owners to eat, drink and be merry.  A time for us to beg for turkey titbits, to sit and give those "puppy dog eyes" till we get what we want, to wait expectantly for our presents.

But it is also a time of year when we need to remember those less fortunate than ourselves.  Those canines that have no home - streetdogs, dingoes, wolves and African wild dogs.  Please bear this in your hearts and minds especially as you enjoy your Christmas meals tomorrow.

And a world of warning for all my pint sized followers who like myself are lucky to be pint sized enough to be checked in as cabin baggage rather than being put in the dark dingy cargo hold. If you are away for Christmas and want to be able to get home then remember some airlines such as Swiss have an upper weight limit of 8kg including bag.

Enjoy!
